Announcement of participating in non-fossil fuel energy certificate tracking demonstration experiment

erex Co.,Ltd.

erex Co.,Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President and Representative Director Hitoshi Honna, hereinafter referred to as “erex”) has participated in the “non-fossil fuel energy certificate tracking demonstration experiment”*1 (hereinafter referred to as “the demonstration”) conducted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

Under this demonstration, we purchased a tracking vested non-fossil fuel energy certificate
with detailed information about the power plant such as the power supply type and the location. We hereby announce that we have finally been certified an “Attribute information vesting certificate*2”.

Until now, retail electricity utilities could not appeal the environmental value of FIT power sources. However, through the use of the tracking vested non-fossil energy certificates in the demonstration, we are now able to promote sales to environmentally conscious consumers, such as companies joining the RE100*3 initiatives by combining the environmental value of the erex group’s FIT power source and electricity.

erex group will actively contribute to expanding the use of renewable energy and realizing a low-carbon society through these efforts.
