erex celebrated our 20th foundation anniversary in December 2019. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to those involved for their great support and guidance offered. Without your assistant, we would not have been able to mark this memorable moment.

For the power industry, the year 2020 will be a major turning point. The global society will fulfill the Paris Agreement which states the framework after 2020 regarding climate change. Japan released ‘The Fifth Basic Energy Plan’ in 2018 which specifies to use renewable energy as a major power source and cover 22% to 24% of the total power generation capacity by 2030 and to further accelerate the move towards a low carbon society from home and abroad.

Under these circumstances, erex Co., Ltd. and TEPCO Energy Partner, Incorporated have established a joint venture company named Evergreen Marketing Co., Ltd. based on our philosophy of ‘Co-creation’ to contribute to creating a low-carbon society in Japan.
We will provide various service plans based on CO2-free electricity derived from renewable energy to our domestic customers who uses very high voltage electricity.
Also, for the biomass electric power business, erex started operating biomass power plants in Buzen-shi, Fukuoka-ken, and Ofunato-shi, Iwate-ken in January 2020 in addition to the power plants in Tosa-shi, Kochi-ken and Saiki-shi, Oita-ken. For the project in Uruma-shi, Okinawa-ken, its construction has started as planned. We are also planning to build a large size biomass power plant which does not depend on FIT (Feed-in Tariff) and aiming to become a leading company for biomass power generation.
erex established a local subsidiary in Singapore aiming to secure fuel used for biomass power plants stably on a long-term basis. We will expand external sales for biomass fuels proactively while providing a stable supply to our own power plants.

In 2020, erex set a new vision “Becoming a leading company in the coming era of electricity field having renewable energy as a core business.” As a leading company of renewal energy, we will keep challenging in aiming to create a sustainable society with our various stakeholders.
