Announcement of concluding a long-term fuel supply agreement with Hirohata Biomass Power Co.,Ltd.

We are pleased to announce that erex Co.,Ltd.,*1 have signed a long-term fuel supply agreement with Hirohata Biomass Power Co.,Ltd., a joint venture between Gas and Power Solution Co.,Ltd.*2 (a wholly owned subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co.,Ltd.) and Kyuden Mirai Energy Co.,Inc.*3 (a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyushu Electric Power Co., Ltd. ).

The renewable energy feed-in-tariff (FIT) system introduced in 2012 became a trigger of introducing biomass power generation. As one of our growth strategies, erex is promoting to enhance and strengthen the biomass fuel supply business by utilizing the knowledge we have gained through our own procurement and that from a trading company. We will work on to secure a stable fuel supply by utilizing our own value chain while achieving a competitive fuel price and stable quality at the same time.
