Meeting between Mr. Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam and Mr. Hitoshi Honna, President of erex Co., Ltd.

erex Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) is pleased to announce that a meeting between Mr. Hitoshi Honna, Representative Director and President of the Company and Mr. Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, took place on May 5, 2023, at the headquarters of the Vietnamese government.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mr.Tran spoke highly of the Company’s investment decisions related to its biomass power generation projects in Vietnam. He also advised the Company for the success of its biomass projects in Vietnam, stating that “they have been incorporated into Vietnam’s power development plan, PDP8, and serve as a background energy source for energy projects.

Mr.Honna expressed his gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Mr.Tran for taking the time to meet with him, and informed him that Vietnam has a large amount of unused biomass fuel, and that he sees great potential for biomass power development.

The Company is confident that its future plans for new biomass power plants, conversion of existing coal-fired power plants to biomass, and new fuel development projects in Vietnam will greatly contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and contribute to the development of the Vietnamese economy.

The Company will continue to work with the Vietnamese government to improve the country’s electricity self-sufficiency ratio, create jobs through its energy business, and also contribute to the realization of a de-carbonized society.
