Notice Regarding Agreement with First Solar Power G.K.to Purchase Electric Power from Non-FIT Solar Power Plants

Evergreen Marketing Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-Ward, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Toshimichi Tanaka; hereinafter referred to as “EGM”), a group company of erex Co., Ltd, announces that it has signed a power purchase agreement (hereinafter referred to as the “Agreement”) with First Solar Power G.K. (Head Office: Chuo-Ward, Tokyo; Representative Partner: RENOVA, Inc.; hereinafter referred to as “Daiichi Solar”), a group company of RENOVA, Inc., to purchase electric power derived from Non-FIT solar power plants, as follows.

One of the key initiatives of the mid-term business plan of erex is to “create new innovations toward de-carbonization” based on the concept of pursuing both de-carbonization and stable energy supply. In addition, EGM is providing services to help realize a sustainable society, including CO2-free plans, backed by the renewable energy supply capabilities of erex Group., based on its management philosophy of “making renewable energy more accessible and creating a society where green is the norm”.

Under the terms of the Agreement, EGM will purchase electric power and non-fossil value from First Solar’s newly developed non-FIT solar power plants for a period of 20 years. This will add value to the retail business by responding to the de-carbonization and price-fixing needs of customers. The two companies plan to increase the transaction size gradually up to 5,000 kW from April 2023 onwards.

erex Group will further strengthen the foundation of its existing businesses and further enhance its de-carbonization business for the future to achieve steady growth.
