Hitoshi Honna, the Representative Director and President of erex,took the stage at the ANNUAL VIETNAM BUSINESS FORUM (VBF)

On March 19, 2024, at the ANNUAL VIETNAM BUSINESS FORUM (VBF) held in Hanoi, Vietnam, Hitoshi Honna, Representative Director and President of erex Co., Ltd. (headquarter: Kyobashi, Chuo-Ward, hereinafter “erex”), made a presentation as a company that practices green growth and ESG strategies. erex was the only Japanese company selected to make a presentation among multiple global companies operating in Vietnam that took the stage.

Focusing on the theme “Vietnam’s ESG readiness and digitalization enablement”, the forum featured three main sessions dedicated to business environment, ESG (environment, social, and governance), and high-tech & digitalization. The event was attended by Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and other Vietnamese government officials.

erex will contribute to Vietnam’s goal of 2050 carbon neutrality by making the most effective use of Vietnam’s remaining biomass resources and by promoting the construction of biomass power plants, coal-fired fuel conversion, and construction of pellet plants. Furthermore, by promoting this project, erex will contribute to the local economy, job creation, and improvement of energy self-sufficiency.

Under the 2030 vision of “to become a pioneer in the new era of electric power with renewable energy at its core”, erex aims to realize a decarbonized society while pursuing economic rationality. By making full use of the know-how that has been cultivated over the years in the biomass power generation business, fuel business, etc., erex approaches energy cost reduction from a variety of angles.
