erex Group recognizes that discussions with shareholders and investors in Japan and overseas are essential for sustainable growth and enhancement of corporate value, and is actively engaged in thorough implementation of fair information disclosure and continuous discussions as the foundation for them.
In addition, erex Group strives to understand the shareholder structure in order to be engaged in constructive discussions with shareholders, and takes the utmost care to prevent the leakage of insider information during such discussions.
erex Group has established a discussion window with its shareholders, where the President, the Director in charge of IR and PR, the General Manager of the IR and PR Department, and other senior management members have the opportunities to be actively engaged in discussions with shareholders and investors. As a promotion system for this purpose, erex Group has appointed a director in charge of IR and designated the IR and PR Department as the department in charge of IR to promote IR activities on a daily basis. The opinions and suggestions of shareholders obtained during the discussions are fed back to the Board of Directors and are reflected in management as appropriate. In addition, erex Group utilizes the opinions of directors, including independent outside directors, in its discussions with shareholders.
In fiscal 2020, erex Group strengthened its communication with investors and held IR meetings with 306 companies. As for IR events, briefing sessions for institutional investors were held, where top management explained the growth potential of the electric power market, and erex Group’s strengths and future direction. In September, a briefing on the biomass power generation business, which had been requested by investors and analysts, was held, where its strategic significance, benefits, and financial impacts were explained. In addition, erex Group is actively promoting information disclosure such as by expanding its IR website.
