Expression of Expectations for the Biomass Business of
erex Co., Ltd. by the Prime Minister of Vietnam
-At the Vietnam Investment Conference Hosted by MUFG Bank-
The Company, focusing on achieving both de-carbonization and a stable supply of energy, actively develops energy such as “building biomass power plants in Vietnam”, “developing biomass fuel in Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries” and “fuel conversion using biomass co-combustion for coal-fired power (Fuel Conversion)”.
Especially, in Southeast Asian countries, where there is a wealth of unused biomass resources, there is ample room for biomass energy utilization, and the Company believes that it can make use of its experience that has been cultivated to date. The Company believes that promoting biomass business is a very significant project that not only increases the renewable energy ratio in Southeast Asian countries, but also contributes to the stable supply of electric power and the creation of local employment.
The investment conference was held under the theme of “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World” – a new era of economic relations.
During the conference,Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and Minister of Planning and Investment mentioned, “We have high expectations for biomass power generation and fuel businesses of erex. In particular, developing biomass fuel using domestic fuel in Vietnam will have a great effect on promoting afforestation, and the construction of biomass power plants will contribute greatly to job creation. I also hope that the fuel conversion project will move forward as soon as possible”.
