“erex Tuition Support Scholarship” Has Been Awarded to Students in Tuyen Quang Province, Vietnam, the Power Plant and Pellet Factory Construction Site

erex Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chuo-Ward, Tokyo; hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) is pleased to announce that it has awarded “erex Tuition Support Scholarship” to 50 students in Tuyen Quang Province, Vietnam, where the Company is currently constructing power plant and pellet factory, who are finding it difficult to study due to financial reasons, etc. as follows.

The Company plans to build 19 power plants in Vietnam by 2035. In Tuyen Quang Province, where construction of power plant and pellet factory has already started, the Company has awarded scholarships of 3 million VND per student to 50 outstanding students who had difficulty continuing on to university due to financial reasons, etc., totaling 150 million VND (approximately 900,000 Japanese yen).

While Vietnam is experiencing remarkable economic developments, the lives of some people in remote areas such as mountainous regions and ethnic minority areas are still in poverty. In this situation, the Company decided to provide scholarships so that students with a desire to study would not have to give up on continuing their education due to financial reasons.

The scholarship award ceremony for students was held at the Convention Center in Tuyen Quang Province on October 27, 2024. The Company’s employee presented the scholarships to each student, and the students expressed their gratitude.

The Company, as it continues to promote businesses that contribute to the realization of a de-carbonized society, will work to build a sustainable future, with an awareness of the development of areas where power plants are constructed and the contribution to the people involved.
