erex Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-Ward, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Hitoshi Honna; hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) announces that its Senior Executive Officer, Munetaka Hagiya, spoke at the “2nd Indonesia-Japan Environment Week,” held in Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia (hereinafter referred to as “Indonesia”) from May 11 to 12, 2026.

１．Event Overview
This event is an international event hosted by the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, and the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia, with participation from the Japanese and Indonesian governments, companies, and research institutions. Seminars and company exhibitions were held with the aim of promoting cooperation and creating business opportunities in the environmental field.

２．Presentation Details
At the biomass-related seminar, Senior Executive Officer of the Company, Munetaka Hagiya, gave a presentation introducing the Company’s track record in biomass power generation projects in Japan and overseas, the positioning of biomass power generation as a renewable energy source, and the Company’s initiatives toward decarbonization.

Furthermore, focusing on biomass power generation projects in Vietnam, he explained the business schemes utilizing the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM*), outlining initiatives toward decarbonization through subsidies for capital investments and the creation of carbon credits, and proposals to the Indonesian government regarding the design of a system for fuel switching from coal-fired power.
* Ministry of the Environment, Japan has been implementing the Subsidy Programme for the JCM Facility Introduction, which provides financial support of up to a 1/2 of the initial investment cost for projects. Representative participants in the Projects shall conduct measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) of GHG emission reductions. In addition, this financing support programme is expected to contribute to global decarbonization by disseminating and deploying advanced decarbonizing technologies while ascertaining in detail the needs of partner countries. This project is being implemented with the cooperation of the Vietnamese and Japanese governments
