Announcement of erex group’s reorganization and the launch of Evergreen Marketing Co., Ltd.
erex Co.,Ltd.
erex Co., Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as “erex”) hereby announces today’s bord of directors meeting resolution which will be effective from July 1st, 2020. The erex group will be reorganized by making Evergreen Marketing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “EGM”), a current consolidated subsidiary of erex, to a wholly-owned parent company, while erex Spark Marketing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “ESM”), currently another consolidated subsidiary of erex, to a wholly owned subsidiary. Furthermore, ESM will change its trade name to Evergreen Retailing Co., Ltd.
1. Purpose for reorganizing the erex group
The business environment of erex group drastically changed when the complete liberalization for retail sales took place in April 2016 and is continuously changing until now. Despite the blunt economic growth in Japan and the sluggish demand for electricity, we established EGM as a joint-venture company with TEPCO Energy Partner, Incorporated (hereinafter referred to as “TEPCO EP”) to comprehensively utilize the management resources and functions of both companies, develop new retail electricity business for the next generation, and to provide further additional value. By making ESM, a erex group company dealing low-tension power sales, to a wholly owned subsidiary of EGM, a company dealing high-tension power sales, will enable even more efficient utilization of the management resources and functions of erex and TEPCO EP. This will accelerate the renovation of the erex group’s sales division, and further increase our corporate value and competitiveness.
In line with this reorganization, the company name of ESM will change to Evergreen Retailing Co., Ltd. to unify the Evergreen brand.
2. Reorganization scheme
Based on our 2030 vision, ”Becoming a leading company in the coming era of electricity field having renewable energy as a core business.”, erex group will seek to expand our retail business, increase our corporate values and contribute to make Japan a low carbon society as a leading company in the renewal energy field.
