Announcement of starting “renewable energy electricity” supply to Elk Homes by Evergreen Marketing

Evergreen Marketing Co., Ltd.*1, a group company of erex Co., Ltd.*2, begun supplying renewable energy to 3 facilities operated by Elk Homes Ltd.*3, including t Elk Homes Ltd. ’s headquarters. EGM will begin supplying electricity to these facilities using essentially 100% renewable energy with tracking vested non-fossil fuel energy certificate. Details are as follows.

*2 erex Co., Ltd. : Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President and Representative Director: Hitoshi Honna, hereinafter referred to as “erex”
*3 Elk Homes Ltd. : Shunan-shi, Yamaguchi-ken , President and Representative Director: Haruhisa Urabe, hereinafter referred to as “Elk Homes”

EGM is contributing to create a sustainable and green society under its management philosophy, “Making renewable energy more familiar. A society where green is by our side.”.
In addition, taking the context that erex’s has an abundant renewable energy supply capacity, EGM is offering a service to realize a low carbon society, including CO2-free plans.
Elk Homes is a house building company aiming to build “sustainable houses” looking steadily at the social trend. In order to contribute in realizing an even better society, the company is promoting houses that can achieve low carbonization by reducing CO2 emitted from houses and using solar power to generate clean energy.

This agreement is to supply electric power that is essentially 100% renewable energy by adding tracking vested non-fossil fuel energy certificate to FIT electricity procured from renewable energy sources. This supply will start from August 1st, 2020.

Supply scheme

Elk Homes focus on “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” when considering our business activities. Switching the electricity used at our headquarters and “Elk Forest” housing exhibition to CO2-free electricity will contribute in realizing an even better society. This also associates with the 7th goal stated in SDG which is “Grow Affordable and Clean Energy”.
This will be the first time for EGM to offer CO2-free plan to house building companies and will continue to provide a variety of services including this CO2-free plan to companies who wishes to reduce environmental burden. We will keep on showing our initiatives to realize a low-carbon society and spread the use energy which is eco-friendly and also enable to reduce the burden placed to the global environment.

Both companies will contribute to create a sustainable and green society through various initiatives and services.
